TikTok Pixel Not Tracking Purchases: Practical Fix Checklist

If TikTok shows zero purchases while your store has orders, do not judge campaign performance yet. Fix the measurement path first.

Purchase tracking problems are one of the most expensive failure modes in TikTok Ads. If the platform cannot see real purchases, optimization quality drops and any scaling decision becomes noisy.

Start with the store, not the ads dashboard

Compare the last 7 days of TikTok-reported purchases against Shopify or your store orders. If the store clearly has orders and TikTok shows zero or near-zero purchases, you likely have a measurement mismatch.

Checklist: what to verify

  1. Purchase event fires on the thank-you page or server-side purchase completion.
  2. Events API is sending server events if you rely on hybrid tracking.
  3. Deduplication is configured if browser and server events both exist.
  4. Domain and pixel association are correct in TikTok Events Manager.
  5. Event value, currency, and identifiers are actually populated.
  6. Attribution window matches the reporting view you are comparing.
  7. Recent code changes or theme updates did not break firing.

Why Shopify orders and TikTok purchases can disagree

Not every mismatch means the ads are bad. The gap can come from attribution settings, blocked browser events, checkout app conflicts, server event delays, or purchase events that fire without usable identity fields.

What to do after tracking is confirmed

Once Purchase events are healthy, revisit campaign quality. At that point you can judge the creative, landing page, offer, and checkout flow with more confidence.

Use the checker for a stop-loss decision

If you have spend, clicks, and store orders, the checker will tell you whether the bigger problem looks like tracking mismatch or a real funnel leak.
